Russia’s HGM in talks on Kyrgyz gold field with Chinese companies

BEIJING, Jul 28 (PRIME) -- U.K. Highland Gold Mining (HGM), which operates in Russia, is discussing investment in the Unkurtash field in Kyrgyzstan with Chinese companies, John Mann, director for public relations, told reporters on Thursday.

“We have discussed participation in the Unkurtash field project in Kyrgyzstan with our Chinese colleagues,” Mann said. He added that HGM is in talks with all major Chinese companies.

No proposals have been made, he said.

Mann also said that HGM does not need additional investments in its Russian projects.
